The Worden Fire Dept. is a non-profit, tax exempt, private corporation staffed by volunteers that provide fire suppression, BLS ambulance service and other fire dept. based emergency responses in Eastern Yellowstone County. The primary response area contains approx. 349,000 acres, the EMS side is much larger.
Worden Fire was organized on April 17th, 1933. A Fire District was established on May 12, 1970 for the town of Worden and a Fire Service Area was then established June 28th, 1994 to cover the rest of the area. Worden fire also has a Grass Land contract with Yellowstone County.
It is OUR goal to provide the best/ professional service possible to our communities both in FIRE and EMS.
We have 3 stations located in the towns of Pomeys Pillar, Huntley and Worden. We currently operate the following trucks; 5 Engines, 1 water tender, 2 brush Tenders, 3 type 6 brush Trucks and 2 BLS ambulances.
We average 32 members.
General meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at station 1 in Worden, 2463 3rd Street at 7:00 P.M.
Fire Training is held on the 2nd and 3rd Mondays of the month with EMS training held on the 4th Monday.
